What sets me apart

The above quote was sent to me from someone I used to work with and it is what defines me as a person. I am someone who loves the challenges and opportunities in marketing. I always try and put myself in my customers place and ask, “why would I want to hear from this company?” My strategic marketing background, working on great brands like Discman, Walkman, Energizer, Canon, and Cialis, coupled with my focus on empowered consumers uniquely positions me to meet the challenges of business objectives and consumer needs. At the end of the day, everything we do has to be consumer focused and meet brand objectives.
Managing Others
My management style is flexible and coaching-based. I learn all I can about what motivates different people, and integrate teaching and coaching to dervie top performance. Work in today’s environment can be hard, but there is no reason why there can’t be some fun as we learn from each other.
Managing Budgets
It’s not about getting as much money as you can; it’s about ensuring that every dollar we spend has maximum impact on the bottom line. Always review your budgets and how you spend the dollars and ask “if this was my money would I be doing the same thing?”
Managing Agencies
Agency management is one of my strengths. Agencies should be held accountable for quantitative objectives but a good marketing person has to know when to pull the reigns as well as let them go. Integrate agency people into your marketing team and don’t waste a lot of time on things that don’t add value to the brand or your customers.
